Design Miami @ Basel

Here are a few pictures from Design Miami.  Emmanuel Perrotin was the only Gallery which had a booth at both the main Basel Art Fair and at Design Miami.  Pharrell was one of the few people with items at both.  The Perspective chairs were on display as well as some new hand made rugs from Takashi Murakami produced by Louis Vuitton.

    Wow, there was some really interesting furniture at this show case.
    Like that chandelier, the leather desk and I can’t get over Pharrell’s chairs. Wish I was there to see it, it looked pretty cool. :)

    1) OMG is Mick okay? I see the champagne so…(lol!)

    2) I’ve never seen Ben with a look of pure amusement on his face – I love it!

    3) Pharrell is sitting in my favorite Perspective Chair – you all know that’s the best color, 2nd runner up is the red, then the black/white piece.. (in my opinion/for my tastes). Is the cost of the chair still roughly comparative to the likes of 6 Chrystler cars, or maybe one new Volkswagen? If so, I’m still awaiting a layaway plan…but I love that freaktastic chair…*sigh

    4) Murakami is so sick (duh)… Pharrell’s Wallabes inspired me to bring back my Bass Bucks. (talking shoes here for those that call them something else)

    5) Love the briefcase desk – feels 70′s vintage to me. Simple and classic. Like the lego chair, but if it weren’t made of legos I wouldn’t really think the piece was anything that damn spectacular from a design and color point of view or “perspective” (get it? lol..I’m such a cornball). Chandelier is awesome, especially the light it seems to give judging by the pic. Not feeling the chrome “coffee table”..AT ALL..tacky in my opinion.
