I showed my nephew these, now he want’s to go to the beach and do a sonic, and mario sand sculpture. (Don’t forget he’s 9 on May 19th, his sculptures won’t look anything like those)

I think its more about the dedication and time you put into it. The satisfaction and joy you receive from doing it. If they were that concerned with it all being destroyed, then they would have stuck with simple castles.
A project like this, your only thoughts are achieving greatness. Once it is achieved, the rain can do as it pleases. I love art(the artist more).
