I listened to his speech on the radio as I was driving home from work…That was the most interesting and emotional drive of my life…THIS IS HISTORY! AND I WAS HERE TO WITNESS IT!
History. I can’t shake that iffy feeling. Just the fact that they had bullet proof glass surrounding him makes my heart drop. I really pray for him, and I hope he leads our country into the direction he’s envisioned.
i feel stupid for saying this
&even feeling this…but i am
truly scared.
it has only been a day &all i
hear at school is complaints.
i couldnt concentrate at all.
it doesnt matter, but i do go
to a high school mostly populated
by white students, but from
what i hear, “they” dont want
to be represented by a half
african american/half caucasian
president. i heard someone say
“look at the history of past
black leaders…their track
record isnt so good.”
does it really matter?
does the color of his skin
really matter?
does it matter if he will
represent our country well?
plenty of the students at my
school have big houses with
big pools and a large closet
space that is completely filled.
their parents have money to
spare…&yet my fellow classmates
have learned to speak from their
parents’ perspective.
“i dont want my money going to
some lazy ass parents who have
food stamps, but still have
enough money to buy their kids
some jordans!!”
thats what i heard, &plenty of
statements like it.
i feel a great separation,
&i fear it.
i greatly fear for him.
in just one day ive noticed
so many closeted racists speak
out. i dont know if past
presidents have had to give
their acceptance speech through
a glass, but its enough to
send the message that theyre
scared too.
im sorry…ive been really
trying to be optimistic
&happy for obama, but its
really hard with everything
that i am surrounded by.

I can watch this OVER and OVER…and shed tears because I know he will change the country and make it better. The new improved JFK even Bobby Kennedy said it 40 years ago.
i clapped and i cried…good things are coming…at last

thankful for this outcome…he has too much of a presidential touch to not be the next president…I voted in 2004, but this time I actually feel like my vote counted =]. God Bless that man and his family. We <3 you Obama!
Beautiful speech and real he let us know that we are going to have to work to make us greater than we were. More citizen will take part in our communities to change the hurt that so many of us feel. Our community here in the U.S. can influence our world community…. Damn a racist they are limited by their ignorance and hopefully they’ll kill themselves….
This guy is amazing ! He openes so many eyes and ears! He made politics intresting! I am still in aww! What an amazing role model! I finally feel that my vote made a difference.. forget that it made history! Minorities smile more and have higher hopes! Its great I dont know how to put the feeling in words! I am so glad I am alive to tell my children how amazing this is!!!
