lol honestly yeah in my opinion the neptunes carried this album
Common is nice with it no doubt, but he was lackin lyrically but some parts he totally dominated lyric-wise.
Beat-wise….neptunes killed it. my fav is what a world, then punch drunk, then gladiator, then inhale….I like every song on there except Announcement lol…the flow from both p and common was HOT on that biggie tip lol…but the beat was lifeless to me too robotic or w/e lol.
Aside from all that..Mr. DJ did excellent work on everywhere and make my day….changes was cool but nothing to big for me.
Lets just say..I’ve had a majority of the tracks for a week now lol…and i’m still gonna cop it…great album guys.

it was a great experience.

the album is fucking dope got the chance to interview/ have dinner with com last friday when he was in the sf bay area doing promo for umc.
after finding out that my big bro’s p & c did 70% it made think of timberlakes first solo and how the neptunes kill shit.. i hit the road sunday to start the bayliens x-mas tour and have been bumping non stop… once agin they kill the game..hope soon the bayliens will kno what it feel like to have a neptunes produced album!!!

Hmm…I have to give it more listens! I love Common, but this album is not quite grabbing me yet.
My favorite tracks on the album: UMC, Inhale, and Punch Drunk Love.
Now, I do think that a live version of Punch Drunk Love (The Eye) should have been included on the US album version. When I heard that live, I was going crazy! I was really feeling it. The guitar sound was strong, everything was just amazing about the song in concert.
So I was sorta disappointed with the album version, but I still like it nonetheless.
Common is a very talented artist, and I know that a lot of people will embrace his new sound.

i’m not feelin’ it, the transition to radio-friendly has dulled down his lyrics to just about nothing. It kinda pissed me off…
