Thonet 214

The Thonet 214 is 150 years old.  Designed by Michael Thonet in 1859, over 50 million of these chairs has been sold.  This is the first chair to go into mass production and all of us have sat in one or a similar version at a restaurant before.  Classic designs never get old.

its always interesting seeing designs that we take for granted on a day to day basis like these chairs, where would design and architecture be if it wasnt for movements like the bauhaus?
