50th Anniversary of the Mercury 7
2009 is a big year for NASA’s history. Following their 50th Anniversary last year they are celebrating the 50th Anniverssary of the Mercury 7. The Mercury 7 were the first 7 Astronauts(John Glenn, Alan Shepard, “Guss” Grissom, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Deke Slayton and Gordon Cooper) picked to fly on the Mercury missions(Deke Slayton actually flew on the Apollo mission). Later this summer NASA will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the first moon landings. You should check out the official NASA web site for a complete history of the Mercury program and learn more about these pioneers!

Not Futuristic
The Chariot, a wearable transportation device? What is the purpose of this thing? Unless you work at the pentagon or live in Bill Gates house no office is big enough to need this. A Segway is way better anyway, plus it has to be a sweat fest in there! Doesn’t it look like an upside down electric shaver?
