The World’s Oldest Hotel

The Hōshi Ryokan has been operated by the same family for 46 generations (also making it the world’s oldest continuously-operating business).  This Japanese Traditional Inn opened it’s doors in 718 AD and is famous for it’s hot springs.  It is located in Komatsu.

By the looks of it you will not want to get out of the hot springs during the winter.
