“THE EAR” BY YI ZHOU (Ft. PHARRELL WILLIAMS)
Inspired to Gogols short story, entitled The Nose, from the Petersburg tales, Yi has written her latest short film about the absurd story of the loss of an ear. The ear is actually the key element of the film, shot in RED and partly to be made in 3D animation. Throughout the film, the ear and inner ear as a whole turn themselves into an EarBridge as they get crossed by a bridge. The EarBridge is part of a public project proposal for Baku, Azerbaijan that includes a number of important international contemporary artists. The Ear features Pharrell Williams, music by Ennio Morricone, and costumes by Rick Owens and BBC/Ice Cream.

I liked it.The animation is Superb!
What i liked even more was that it stopped for a moment to buffer, and it stopped on the close up of Pharrell, and in that moment I couldn’t take my eyes off of his lips. They are perfect, very sexy, we should do a short featuing his lips, maybe like a roller coaster ride, all the seats are filled with girls, oh wow, I got a whole vision on it.
Oh and P, you got some kitchen skills, so you wont be starting from square one when you decide to get some cooking lessons.LOL
maybe I don’t know much about contemporary art..I need some explanation because the meaning definitely doesn’t show itself to me.

I like the way they managed to slip in P’s ‘Perspective’ chair in there too.

I feel sorry for the Arts students @ any creative arts UNI who may have to sit in a 4 hr exsam trying to explaine the “Postmoderism” perspective of this & “Hyperrealism” & all the “ism family” for a creative thought provoking material that is art work.

Very Magnetic. I loved this. Not many of us that walked this illusion of Earth speak the same language. I understood the concept of it, and the importance of it. Through my own look at art which is described totally different in each eye and ear it captures. You have to be able to feel art and see art, even if you hace no eyes to see and no ears to hear.

Maybe I’ll get there myself before or after 2013, inspired by this piece of work a little. Nice use of architectual chair design piece perhaps the other one will be occupied by the time this comes out, can’t wait to at least watch the DVD.

whoops just watched it again, as you can tell I interpret things from a very romantic intense comedy perspective in my interpretation of film, and I like them as well-(no other chair) but I’m sure the character will have some company by than. There’s always the table to sit on or the floor for whoever it seems you are thinking of or waiting on for, perhaps? Looks intersting regardless I like how there is no emphasis on the Illuminati 2012 arrival date I’ve been told about, but whenever the ones who are suppossed to arrive once others have laid out the ground work for them, as demonstrated and archived very well throughout all means and ways of recording history, it’s been before and will be done again. Nice beginning of construction so far, all forms are appreciated.

what’s a public project proposal? Is this thing gonna get made?
I have to look up Baku in relation to the Caspian Sea, to see if I’m gonna watch this in the theatre or not; of course I would I missed the film release of “Dude where’s Brazil”… or something. From what I saw I liked how Pharrell character kisses girls in it.
In the beg. When your character is cutting up stuff, the cabbage looks like a head and chest part of a female body not sure if that is coincidence or part of the movie, I doubt it, anyhow. For me so far the beg. is kinda the most, ‘gay’ish, especially when the ear falls, I bet that’s the part that Pharrell suggested and now I may or may not have hurt his feelings. Well anyhow, good-luck. Unless, have you ever got your ears cannelled? when the wax is drawed out by fire and paper, maybe your chunk would be in the shape of an ear, I doubt it but perhaps, is this the meaning? Clean your ears (more often) ? Don’t get me wrong I think wax is good, and it might change what you hear, especially for you Pharrell, real life Pharrell seeing as you’d need them for more than just acting.

Hi Pharrell,
I had this thought once, you were an soilder the kind from the movie that Denzel Washington did I believe, the one where Matthew Broderick is the Captain. Anyhow, it was a very clear image and you looked very very attractive and convincing as a early American soilder. Perhaps you were one in another life. Does this character for “The Ear” have any military aspirations? I’m sure I’m not the only one who’d love to see you in uniform, what woman doesn’t love a man in uniform even if they’ve lost one to war, combat that is. I don’t believe fairness is the same for love and war, but a man in uniform, that’ll guarantee some action regardless and maybe someone might get a disease and die depending on where they’ve been, oh yeah I’m talking about the guys (including females) who come back to whatever’s waiting for them, but not the same like fighting on a battlefield. Anyhow, just thinking how timely this blog entry is considering Barack’s gay-outright policy in the military, I’ve been saying gay-is-passey for a while but I think it’s really over, but I don’t think our safety is at a risk cause your soilders; do they have the option now of keeping it private, no pun intended, good losers! they still don’t know what it’s like to be ‘straight’ the real one’s anyway, not like they’d give a shit, and that’s how it should be dammit, and vice-versa.
