DASH, The Cockroach-Inspired Robot

DASH, designed by students at UC Berkeley is a robot who’s design was inspired by the infamous cockroach.  This thing will survive a 8 story fall and is able to climb small obstacles.  It’s seems more like a RV at this point but we have no doubt that they will figure out how to give this thing a brain down the line.  The Pentagon must be watching this project closely.

This reminds of a movie The Fifth Element (Bruce Willis, Chris Tucker, Mila Janovich), and the bad guys lackey was spying on the President (Zeus from Friday) with a cockroach bug, and he smashed it. I’ll bet the pentagon is watching this project..

does it stand still when you walk in the room?

when you think about it would be a perfect spy tool! put a spy camera in it, it then can get in to hard places us humans cant reach, then have the ability to move around like a cockroach…scary thought actually!
