L’Homme Qui Marche I

New record set at auction for a sculpture by Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti.  “L’Homme Qui Marche I” starting bid was at $19 Million and the final bid was $104.3 Million.  This should make a lot of people happy in the art world which took a serious hit during the financial crisis.

    do ‘rich’ people baby-sit artwork and/or own it for a bit or is it more like they lease it?
