Memorial Day

Take a minute to remember those who have given their lives for your country today.  Regardless of your political views and beliefs, these men and women have to go where they are told and put their lives on the line on a daily basis.

Immersed Senses Diving Helmet

Designed by Adam Wendel, this new scuba diving system allows divers to breath more naturally and have much better views.  It is also equipped with a camera, flashlight and an OLED display which will help you identify any mysterious sea life you might encounter if you’re still alive.  Jacques Cousteau or Steve Zissou would have been proud!  Much more info here

Karen Blixen’s Hermès Luggage

Custom made by Hermès for the author of Out of Africa, the 2 cases below show the excellent craftsmanship of the French luxury brand.   Made in 1930, when you had to be way more prepared when you traveled than these days.  No 7/11, Duane Reades or airport shopping areas meant you couldn’t afford to forget anything.  We could also mention the time it even took to travel back then but judging by her choice of luggage, this woman traveled well!

Magical Mirror Anamorphosis

This has Dan Brown’s name written all over it!  Anamorphosis is a distorted projection or perspective requiring the viewer to use special devices or occupy a specific vantage point to reconstitute the image.  Hit the jump for more interesting examples.  If someone were to do this for the sign contest it would be CRAZY!!!

Strand Craft 122

Bring your car to the party, not sure how many places have docks which would allow this to even be a convenient option but still a good looking idea!

N*E*R*D Photoshoot

Some sites are reporting that this is from the “Nothing” photoshoot but Terry Richardson shot the album art.  This was a shoot with Mark Abrahams for his book, but a few shots will also be used for promo.  There are a few items from our F/W collection in here so you get a preview before the look book comes out.
