It would be a pity for such a beautiful cultural tradition to die out. I hope they can thrive beyond this economic downturn and be restored to their full geisha glory…privately entertaining wealthy businessmen. And I don’t mean in an “escort” way…a true geisha doesn’t do that type of entertaining.
Ok, I’ve read Memoirs of a Geisha one too many times, it’s fiction but it was inspired by the life of a real geisha. Don’t judge me.
