This is very innovative. Stacey Webber you are an excellent artist. Here you are making things we have all seen. Using the same materials these everyday items are made with and sold in the stores. Metal. But instead of banging out a piece of metal that doesn’t have a precise print, a precise use, and a precise value already put upon it, you used coins. You don’t see that metal as an oh’ so important coin with a value that can purchase, but you see the coin as what it actually is, METAL. If this was a time of far past, this would be considered blasphemy (not in a religious way) toward the high courts who would want that coin for taxes. You’d probably be thrown into jail or exiled from your home. One thing I love about today is that we are getting closer and closer to respecting each other’s points of views. I love it. Plus, let’s not forget, you have to get that money from somewhere. You’ve taken money that you have been blessed with and not put so much importance on it that you let it stop the creativity from flowing through your veins. GOOD JOB. Some might say, “that money can feed the hungry.” We have enough food to feed the hungry, just not enough selfless people to get that job done. People can’t eat money. Right.
