Chilkat Blanket

Check out this Chilkat blanket from the Kwakiutl and Nootka Tribes from British Columbia.  Don’t the faces remind you of Os Gêmeos?  Hi the jump to see.  Interesting how similar cultures spread all the way from the North West down to Brazil…

The Crazy Horse Memorial once finished will be the largest sculpture in the world.  Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota this monument will not only honor one of the most famous Native American warrior(just ask Custer) but Native American culture as a whole.  Hit the jump to see what it will look like when finished and make a donation HERE, even if it’s just $1 so that our generation can see this amazing project finished.

Please Explain…

We spotted this car in NYC.  Someone really went out of there way to protect their side-view mirrors.  Is this a limited edition Suburban with solid gold side-view mirrors?  Does the owner not want girls using the mirrors for make-up checks?  What happens when another car comes too close and hits these mirrors?  So many questions!
