Artist Appreciation: Michael Kagan
Recently, artist and Billionaire Boys Club collaborator, Michael Kagan, showcased his new body of work: We Have Felt The Ground Shake at the Bill Brady Gallery in Miami.
Featuring loose renderings of Apollo astronauts who have touched down on the moon, the oil on linen paintings can "work on their own or tell a story when shown together," said Kagan. "The Mercury astronauts were the test pilots the ones that showed man can go into space. The Apollo astronauts were the guys who slam dunked the ball. It was always about getting to the moon.”
In 2013, Michael Kagan's artwork became designs for a special collaboration released at the NYC BBC store, and featured the late Astronaut John Young, who walked on the Moon twice and commanded the first space shuttle flight.
