In support of Miami Art Basel, Black Ambition and Billionaire Boys Club partnered up to provide capital to Black and Latinx entrepreneurs pursuing business ventures in digital wearables to help close the opportunity and wealth gap and to position Black and Latinx founders to excel, uninterrupted.


Following the closing of applications for the Miami Digital Wearables Prize competition, finalists were invited to attend an awards ceremony at the BBC store during Art Basel week. A panel of expert judges awarded a total of $20k to three prize winners last week. The grand prize winner received $10,000, the second place winner received $7,000, and the third place winner received $3,000.

Black Ambition is a non-profit initiative founded by Pharrell Williams, a visionary recording artist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, working to close the opportunity and wealth gap for Black and Latinx communities through entrepreneurship. During the inaugural Black Ambition prize competition in 2021, Black Ambition provided more than $3M to 34 founders who have since gone on to raise more than $50M in the past year.
